About WillWise
A calmer way to prepare
WillWise helps people organise useful information before discussing a will with a Scottish solicitor.
Our mission
WillWise exists to make the first stage of will preparation feel more manageable. It turns an unfamiliar subject into a series of clear questions, helping people collect relevant details, notice gaps, and arrive at a professional conversation better prepared.
Why it matters

WillWise was created to make preparing for a will simpler, clearer and less overwhelming, helping you organise your information before speaking to a Scottish solicitor.
Why preparation matters
Conversations about wills may involve family relationships, responsibilities, property, personal wishes, and difficult decisions. Remembering every detail in an appointment can be challenging. A structured preparation record gives users time to think at their own pace and provides a useful starting point for discussion.
Designed with Scotland in mind
WillWise is focused on people living in Scotland. Scottish succession law and legal practice differ from other parts of the UK, so the service avoids presenting itself as a general-purpose will maker. A Scottish solicitor remains the appropriate person to explain how the law applies to individual circumstances.
What WillWise provides
The service provides a guided interview, preparation score, section readiness, rule-based insights, points worth discussing, answer review, and an optional professional preparation report. These tools organise information; they do not determine legal outcomes.
What WillWise does not do
WillWise is not a law firm. It does not provide legal advice, assess legal capacity, or create a will. Its reports are not legally binding documents. Read the full Disclaimer for more information.
Built around careful preparation
WillWise continues to improve through user feedback, accessibility reviews and careful testing. Its purpose remains focused preparation for a professional conversation, rather than automated legal advice.
