Terms of use
Using WillWise
These terms explain the basis on which you may use WillWise and the limits of the service.
Last updated: 28 July 2026
Service description
WillWise provides a guided questionnaire, preparation score, readiness information, rule-based insights, risk flags, answer review, and preparation reports. It is intended to help people organise information before meeting a Scottish solicitor. The service does not create, witness, execute, or store a legally valid will.
Service availability
Features, wording, prices, availability, and supporting information may change. The service may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance or because of circumstances outside our reasonable control. Keep your own copy of information you consider important and do not rely on WillWise as your only record.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- providing information you are entitled to provide and checking it for accuracy;
- keeping your login details, device, downloaded reports, and printed reports secure;
- using the service freely and without another person directing your answers;
- seeking qualified advice for legal questions or decisions; and
- complying with these terms and applicable law.
Acceptable use
You must not misuse WillWise, attempt to access another person’s account or report, interfere with security or availability, introduce harmful code, scrape the service at scale, use it for unlawful activity, or copy and present WillWise output as legal advice or a legally valid will. Access may be limited or suspended where reasonably necessary to protect users or the service.
Accounts
You may try the preparation journey without an account. An account is required for cloud saving and purchasing a professional report. You must provide an email address you are entitled to use and take reasonable steps to protect your password and session. Contact support if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
Payments
WillWise Plus is offered as a monthly or yearly recurring subscription. The selected price, billing interval and any applicable taxes are shown in Stripe-hosted Checkout before payment. You can manage or cancel an active subscription through the secure billing settings linked from your account. Access and the effective date of a change depend on the subscription status confirmed by Stripe.
A Professional Preparation Report may also be offered as a separate one-time purchase for one specific preparation. Stripe processes payments and confirms whether an entitlement should be active. Visiting a success page alone does not prove payment or grant access.
Refunds
If you believe a payment was made in error, or a purchased report cannot be supplied, contact support@willwiseprep.co.uk with the account email and approximate payment date, but do not include preparation answers. Refund requests are considered according to the circumstances and applicable consumer rights. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Intellectual property
The WillWise name, branding, interface, questionnaire structure, software, and original service content belong to their respective owner or licensors. You may use your own preparation information and downloaded report for personal preparation and to share with professional advisers. These terms do not transfer ownership of the WillWise service.
Legal and professional advice
WillWise is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Reports and on-screen information are preparation aids only. Read the full Disclaimer and speak with an appropriately qualified professional where advice is needed.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, WillWise is provided without a guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted, complete, or error-free. WillWise should not be relied upon to make legal decisions or as a substitute for professional advice. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
Changes and contact
These terms may be updated as the service develops. Continued use after an update means the revised terms will apply from their stated date. Questions can be sent through the contact page.
